According to DigiTimes on Monday (1/11/2010), Asus’s upcoming tablet will use x87 ARM-based processor that will be available in various form factors including the size of 7 inches, 10 inches to 12 inches.

Tablet 12 inches by Asus will be called Wintel and will be launched in January 2011, while two models of 7 inches and 9 inches is expected to come to the world market in March 2011. One 7-inch model has reportedly used to offer support for WiFi, while others will support 3G features.

At least one of the 9-inch tablet will be equipped with processors made by Nvidia Tegra second and paired with Google’s Android operating system. Another 9-inch tablet will likely run Windows with Intel chips.

Meanwhile, Acer has also announced plans to launch a tablet device at an event in NYC on November 23.

Although the specifications, OS, and future tablet form factor has not been confirmed, but analysts believe that the device will be based primarily on two operating systems Windows and Android.
