Ericsson announced the latest research for the traffic in the network around the world recently, shows that mobile data worldwide has increased almost three times bigger than last year, growing 10 times faster than sound.

According to statistics from Ericsson, measurements of worldwide mobile data traffic approaching 225 thousand terabytes per month in the second quarter of 2010.

“The growth and benefits of mobile broadband uncontested again, the business model for mobile broadband become one of increased profitability and competitive advantage through superior service quality,” said HÃ¥kan Eriksson, Senior Vice President, Chief Technology Officer & President of Ericsson’s Silicon Valley.

Ericsson has supplied most of the HSPA network that operates at a speed of 14.4 Mbps or higher and is the sole supplier to all networks 4G/LTE which construction is currently underway.

There are currently more than five billion mobile subscribers around the world and Ericsson have a vision of connecting 50 billion devices in 2020

In a press release said Ericson operators focus on the converged IP network end-to-end is the key to answering the growth of data traffic is very dramatic, as well as cutting costs and improving user experience.
