Japan’s ancient sport, sumo, embracing the latest high technology, where the sport’s governing body will distribute Apple iPad for the wrestlers who have difficulty with small keypads on mobile devices because of their giant hands.

Sumo association said it would give iPads to 51 “stables” or Japanese wrestlers club, to help improve communication between the wrestlers who in her past loss of information sent by fax or telephone.

“We will provide the latest iPads sumo for all clubs to communicate quickly, that’s what we need,” said association vice-chairman, Hiroyoshi Murayama, quoted by Reuters. IPad tablet PCs, which are sold starting at 48 800 yen (570 dollars) in Japan, possibly iPad chosen because many of the wrestlers do not use computers and the wrestlers who are not fluent send messages on mobile phones because their hands are large, Jiji news agency said.
