Google’s Nexus One Stop Online Sales
Google’s Android phone has stopped the sale of Nexus One in its online store after only six months since it was launched and the results are less encouraging.
In a blog posting the company said that they had received a number of latest mobile phones from manufacturers and after the cell phone will be sold directly online store closing Nexus. The phone will still be available through Vodafone in the UK for a while.
Google said: “After we sell this device, the Nexus One no longer be available online from Google. Support customers will still be available for customers Nexus One.”And Nexus One will continue to be sold by partners including Vodafone in Europe, KT in Korea, and other possibilities based on local market conditions.”
Google will also make the phone available for developers who want to use it to create applications for Android application store. Launched with great fanfare in January, Nexus One widely branded as ‘iPhone killers’ – a device that can shift the popular Apple gadget.
But the disappointing sales of only about 500 thousand and a strategy that directly compete with rivals Google’s Android change the plan clearly visible to the device.
Google’s focus on developing their own smart phones as they become increasingly important to access the Internet. Google introduced the open-source Android operating system nearly two years ago. Until Nexus One, the company has content to let other companies like Samsung and Motorola design tools rely on Android.
