CELL PHONE Android-based sales reported to experience a boom. BlackBerry smart phones and Windows became the victim. Nielsen Company reported on Tuesday (03/08/2010). Although Android, surge OWNED BlackBerry Research In Motion (RIM) and Apple’s iPhone was still at number one and two.

Data are for intelligent cell phone sales in the United States. Data presented below are for purchases in the last six months since the period was recorded.

According to Nielsen, in the second quarter 2010 sales reached 27 percent of Android. In fact, when viewed in the same period in 2009, market share is only 4 percent of Android.

Try to compare it with the iPhone, which was recorded on 23 percent rate in the second quarter 2009. In 2010, during the same period, Apple did not move at the rate of 23 percent.

Then, RIM recorded by Nielsen declined from 45 percent to 33 percent. Windows-based mobile phones were noted down from 27 percent to 15 percent.

However, there is one noteworthy thing well. The phone appears on the iPhone 4 June 24, 2010, just before the second quarter finished. That is, the first week sales of 1.7 million iPhones four possible covered by the data. But following weeks of sales already in the third quarter, so that is not yet recorded.

To see data real battle, it is better observed after the third quarter finished. Or, better yet, wait for the annual data.
